The characteristic of chlorinated polyethylene ( CPE )
1. molecula chain is pliancy, have an excellent tenacity under the normal temperature. vitrification temperature below at the -25 degrees centigrade, tendering temperature below at -50 degrees centigrade.
2. have good compatibilit with variety of macromolecular materials, including polarity and non-polarity plastic and rubber.
3. have a saturated structure, given its excellent heat resistance, ozone resistance, chemical medicine resistance, and the good performance weather resistance, wear-resisting.

The main use of high chlorination polyvinyl (CPE)
CPE have a double function with plastic and rubber, because it have a good compatibility with other plastic and rubber, so except few of them used for main material, the majority of CPE are used with rubber or plastic. CPE used with plastics are mainly for modifier. its main use is for impacting modifier of the hard PVC (pipes), which will improve the UPVC 's impacting performance and low-temperature performance. and CPE used with rubber, CPE mainly used for improve the fire resistance of rubber, insulation nature, and the weather resisting.
CPE application in plastics modification
1. CPE is a type of thermoplastic elastomer and is superior impact modifier for PVC boardy products. It is used for production of various types of window profiles. Normally, Currently, CPE is the most generally adopted impact modified for PVC in profile industry.
2. CPE modification is also applied in production of PVC pipes. Pipes modified by CPE will improve much in its impact resistance and ageing resistance. Especially, CPE is widely used in heavy caliber pressure-resistant liquid conveying pipes for increasing pressurization properties and increasing service life.
3. CPE has become the most important flame retardant and impact modifier for ABS, as ABS encloser for electrical appliance is required to reach UL-94 safety standard.
CPE application in rubbers:
1. CM rubber is widely applied in wires and cables. Its flame retardancy, high-temperature resistance and weatherability facilitates successful development of XH-01A sheath compound, which is no-flame-spread under 65 °C and is widely used in cable sheath of air conditioners, elevators and welding machines.
2. CM is superior in high temperature resistance, oil resistance, flex life and flame retardancy. The liquid transmission pipelines and oil gas transmission pipelines made from CM is better than other rubber polymers especially suitable for liquid pressure-bearing transmission hoses.
3. CM is superior in high temperature resistance, ozone resistance, atmospheric aging, low temperature resistance, flame retardancy and is long in flex life. So, it is first option for production of conveying belts ranging from flame-retardant conveying belts, heat-resistant conveying belts and ordinary conveying belts.
4. Application of CM will largely prolong service life of the conveying belts.
